Why visit

One of only a handful of true cideries in Loudoun County, pouring small-batch hard ciders made exclusively from Virginia-grown apples and pears.
The tasting room occupies a renovated 1940s dairy barn at 48 Fields Farm in the Lucketts countryside north of Leesburg, and the same barn doubles as one of the area's busiest wedding venues, so it closes for private events.
Founded in 2021 by Kelly and Steve Ewell, it was bought and relaunched in September 2025 by 48 Fields owners Macy and Cory Schilling, who are recasting it as a neighborhood gathering spot with holiday markets, workshops, and firepit evenings.
The blends are made in partnership with Doug Fabbioli of nearby Fabbioli Cellars, the farm grows 13 apple varieties in its own young orchard, and honey from the on-site apiary goes into the newest cider, Blue Honey.
Alongside cider flights, the tasting room has poured seasonal cider mimosas and sangrias with light bites.

Why visit

Founded by Jan and Joe Kernan — she a Cordon Bleu-trained chef, he a retired Navy SEAL 'frogman,' hence the name — on the former White Stone Farm along Route 15 north of Leesburg.
It is one of the few Loudoun wineries with its own brewery on site: estate wines pour alongside Ole Bleu Brewing's pale ale, blonde ale, IPA, and American wheat, plus a dry apple cider.
There is no fixed tasting fee — you build your own wine or beer flight at about $6 a pour, which keeps a visit flexible and affordable.
Kids and dogs are genuinely part of the scene, with lawn games and play areas, fire pits, shaded outdoor seating, and live acoustic music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Its wines took four silver medals at the 2025 Virginia Governor's Cup and added silvers for the 2023 Cabernet Franc and 2024 Bleu Blanc in 2026.
No outside alcohol is allowed, and large groups or catered gatherings need to rent the private event space rather than picnic on the lawn.

Housed in a custom log cabin that owners Eric and Deborah Hauck built by hand in 2000, Hidden Brook opened in September 2001 as one of the original ten wineries in Loudoun County.

Why visit

A small farm brewery on an 18-acre farmette in Lucketts, brewing handcrafted, easy-drinking beers by hand with no computer control and using local ingredients, including hops grown on the property.
A big open lawn and outdoor patio with country views give families room to spread out and let kids run, with a fire pit for the colder months.
Roughly 10-12 beers are usually on tap, spanning kolsch, Irish red, brown ale, several IPAs, and stouts alongside rotating seasonals.
Live music takes over Saturday afternoons from about 3-6 PM (weather permitting), spotlighting local artists.
There is no kitchen, but you can bring your own food and food trucks visit most weekends.
